Serneke and Iver are two companies with close links to the Swedish town of Alingsås and many years’ experience in their sectors, and both have undergone an enormous expansion phase that is still ongoing. And above all, they have been working closely, since 2009, within the framework of a close partnership that has enabled the joint development of their operations. Serneke was founded in 2002 and was a relatively small company with a big vision when they contacted Iver. Today, the Group has 1,100 employees and is one of Sweden’s biggest construction sector Groups.
The challenge
The IT operations affect all of Serneke’s employees and are a critical factor on the construction sites. The operations have to be up and running and everyone must be able to access their systems if the work is to proceed as planned.
We had ambitious goals and were growing exponentially, and we needed an IT partner with whom we could grow. In 2009, we had no internal IT department and were looking for a partner who could take a full-service approach to our IT. Today, we are still working closely with Iver and we also have our own IT department. We value the fact that Iver provides us with a stable, secure, and flexible environment that meets our requirements over time, says Niclas Ölander, IT Director of Serneke.
The solution
Serneke is growing, which means the IT solution must be seamless and capable of expanding without causing interruptions to the operations. Serneke has a clear strategy of continued growth and they are increasingly moving towards a more hybrid IT environment in order to future-proof their operations.
Many of our cloud solutions have to be integrated into the existing environment, and we are confident that Iver will always be looking out for us, whatever the solution. We haven’t just chosen Iver once – we’ve extended our agreement numerous times and we are very happy with the collaboration we have developed. Iver knows our environment and understands our needs, and we work as a team. We value the fact that our in-house IT department can work with Iver to ensure incidents are always resolved through good dialogue. We always make progress in partnership, says Niclas Ölander.
